Xbox One users have been enjoying the EA Access subscription service for the past few months. EA Access does three things: it allows gamers to demo full EA titles five days before they’re released, give a 10% discount if the user decides to purchase the game, and has a library of free games. Games recently added to the free library include Dragon Age: Inquisition and Battlefield: Hardline. The subscription service costs $5 per month or $30 for an entire year.
Now, it seems that EA may be bringing the service to PC users, according to some sources. This has been allegedly revealed in a new poll asking participants about an “all-you-can-play video game subscription service on your PC” that not only includes EA titles but Bethesda, Take-Two, Ubisoft, and Activision as well.
The alleged survey, which can be viewed here, also discuses indie titles, whether DLC would be included, the subscription rate, the potential titles and others.
Speculation time: this might be a push-back against Valve and its Steam service, which often demands a cut in the profits for downloadable content, something major publishers try to avoid (which is why EA withholds games from Origin til it releases the game with all of its DLC included.)
