Creator Scott Cawthon confirmed that Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 was in the works earlier this month, but until now we haven’t had a chance to see the puppet horror threequel in action.
That changed yesterday as Five Nights at Freddy’s 3 was uploaded for the community to (inevitably) vote through on Steam Greenlight, complete with a new teaser trailer.
Gameplay doesn’t look like it will change a whole bunch, but the fact that FNAF3 takes place 30 years after the events of the first two games is fairly ominous. Well, it is if you find mad puppets chasing after you less scary than mad AND dessicated puppets chasing after you.
Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza has long since closed down, and horror attraction Fazbear’s Fright: The Horror Attraction has popped up in its stead, inspired by the spooky legends surrounding the world’s least advisable location for a child’s birthday party. Presumably they’ve got the same guy in do the doors that open up once they run out of power.
Expect FNAF3 to be rushed through Greenlight by horror fans, and be released sometime later this year.
