Shiver Games’ The Omen inspired horror adventure game Lucius 2: The Prophecy is, of course, set for release on Friday 13 February. Do you see what they did there?
Sequel to the original Lucius, which received rather mixed reviews overall, the developers describe the game as a ”splatter-adventure sandbox” in which you play as a murderous offspring of Satan himself.
Yes, satanic kiddywink Lucius has escaped from the fire that consumed his parents in the first game, and he’s been taken to the psychiatric ward of St. Benedict’s Hospital, where he hears about a prophecy (there’s always a prophecy) that will see him take over the world.
You can roam the five floors of the hospital and the neighboring town, dispatching a violent demise to anyone who offends your evil sensibilities. Players can create ”unique traps by using a complex combination system and various tools”, and customise their Lucius with various supernatural abilities.
You can find Lucius 2: The Prophecy over on Steam.
