Vostok Games’ post-apocalyptic shooter Survarium will receive a bunch of new features in its 0.30 update, which is available to try out on the game’s public test server right now.
The test server is only available to players who registered on the Survarium website on or before July 23, and its not open at all to those who own a Steam copy, but the patch should roll out officially sometime soon.
In it you’ll find Last Stand Mode, which is functionally a fairly traditional free deathmatch mode, improved animations, new weapons, and the ability to change your character’s face for the first time. It did make me laugh that the four different facial options are essentially identically grizzled bald men, but to be fair Vostok says it plans to increase the number of customisation options in the future.
There’s also a new ‘Anomalous’ skill tree, which lets you specialise in making your character more resistant to radiation anomaly damage, and better at using the game’s weird radioactive artefacts. Finally, you’ll receive a bit of a bonus if you help test out the update.
“We remind you that all players participating in testing will receive 1 million silver and 10 thousand gold to make purchases in the PTS game shop,” writes the developer. “Characters and progress in the main game as of July 23 will be moved to the test server. However, the progress during the test will not be further taken into account and transferred to the main server! The test server has no way of making payments, and therefore such payments will be automatically credited to the account on the primary server.
Survarium is free to download over on the game’s official website.
