Publisher Iceberg Interactive is marking the one year anniversary of the launch of Starpoint Gemini 2 on Steam with the announcement of new downloadable content called “Titan”. The Titans DLC, which will be released in November, will add three new Titan class ships, along with three new chain-quests. Players can also get a new set of hero characters to unlock.
The press release also announced that the strategy spinoff Starpoint Gemini Warlords will be entering Steam Early Access in the near future. The spinoff has players building a space station from which to conquer the galaxy in the proper 4X way: researching tech and exploring and conquering a larger region of space, The game will not forget its RPG roots, with skill classes, attributed skills and perk progression included, albeit modified for the new play style.
To celebrate the one year anniversary, Iceberg is also promoting a 70% off sale on all games in the franchise. A 1.7000 patch is also available; the change list can be found here.
