Aspyr Media’s recent HD remaster of Quantic Dream adventure game Fahrenheit has an interesting bug that will only affect players who use special characters in their Steam name.
Users on Reddit are reporting that Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered uses your default Steam name to create a save, which is fine unless your name happens to use characters that Windows doesn’t recognise.
If it does use such characters, the game will freeze when you boot it up. Essentially rendering it unplayable. This also means that if you change your Steam name after installing and playing the game, Fahrenheit will stop you from accessing any of your save files. Annoying, if probably quite easy for the development team to solve.
Aspyr Media is yet to respond to concerns over the issue, but expect an incoming patch at some point soon. You can find Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered over on theSteam store.
