Square Enix has posted a teaser site for the PC version of Final Fantasy IX. The site features nothing but a logo and group shot announcing ”FINAL FANTASY IX comes to PC and Smartphones! COMING SOON”
Final Fantasy IX revolves around a group of kidnappers posing as a theater troupe who abscond the King’s daughter during her sixteenth birthday. To the troupe’s shock, the Princess had intended to run away with the troupe because of her mother’s increasingly strange behavior. The game revolves around a Mist that has enveloped the world of Gaia, as the troupe struggles to solve its mystery.
The publisher has been re-releasing many of its Final Fantasy games on PC lately, including Final Fantasy VI. The only issue is that the PC version of Final Fantasy IX is only confirmed for Japan right now, but it would be surprising if it doesn’t get a Western port as well.
