A month ago, the Brazilian Ratings Board listed a new compilation called BioShock: The Collection for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Now, the ESRB has joined in with its own, more detailed listing.
According to the ESRB, BioShock: The Collection is ”a collection of three first-person shooters.” One can safely assume the three games are BioShock 1, BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite, since they take place in ”the dystopian societies of Rapture and Columbia.”
The listing also describes classic moments from the three games, including ”characters shot in the head at close range; a woman smothered to death with a pillow; a man impaled by a drill; a character nearly lobotomized with surgical tools. The game references sexual material in the dialogue (e.g., ‘I think yeh gave me the clap, ya dirty boy,’ ‘Gonorrhea! That’s what you’ll get,’ and ‘Sexual intimacy is no different from any other commodity friend. You sell soybeans I sell companionship.’)”
The question still remains on whether the game has been remastered for PC. While the games will be debuting on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, they may just be higher resolution rather than a full graphic upgrade with new textures, and so on. It’s also unknown which DLC from the three games will be included as well.
Stay tuned.
