Paradox Interactive have announced the first expansion to world war 2 grand strategy Hearts of Iron IV. The new Together for Victory expansion will include new content for players to get into as well as changes to existing systems, and will focus on British dominions and colonies that rallied around the flag in England’s darkest hour.
What we know so far is that the main addition is a set of new National Focus trees for five subjects of the British crown: Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa and the British Raj in India. The new content will also include new portraits, new leaders, and new companies for the Dominions.
Together for Victory will also include a new Autonomy system that has different levels of dependency and status for subject nations: puppets, dominions, and fully independent states. Nations can also request a Lend-Lease agreement from their allies and friends if they are in dire need of equipment and vehicles.
Little else is known thus far, although Paradox have stated that there will be “updates and changes to the combat system”. We’ll bring you more information as we get it, but we certainly are looking forward to the first expansion for Hearts of Iron 4.
