Ubisoft has announced that their free-to-play racing construction set TrackMania Turbo will launch on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on the 25th March, 2016.
As with past TrackMania games, the main attraction is the Trackbuilder level editor, which allows players to create their own race tracks and feeds into the ”matchbox car fantasy,” as Ubisoft calls it. Players can create and upload wild tracks with jumps and loops to share with other gamers.
The game also includes a brand-new setting, Rollercoaster Lagoon. The new race theme ”is set in a tropical paradise, where drivers must race through sunny beaches and magnetic rollercoasters.” It also has classic settings like the International Stadium, the Canyon Grand Drift and Valley Down & Dirty. All of the classic environments have remastered graphics, new car designs and ”a new artistic direction, creating a visual identity that immerses gamers in the arcade racing experience more than ever.”
