There’s cause for celebration over at Double Fine Productions and for Double Fine and Psychonauts fans everywhere. With time to spare, Psychonauts 2 has reached 100% of its goal for the game to be funded. Psychonauts 2 will officially be made and released.
It was a little over a month ago that Tim Schafer and Double Fine set up their campaign for Psychonauts 2 on the crowdfunding website, Fig. Tim and company made their official announcement and released a video of thanks today.
The game’s funding is currently sitting at around $3,320,000 right now with more than five days left to go until time is up for the campaign. Safe to say, Double Fine met its goal handily with change and time to spare. Fans have certainly been clamoring for a sequel to Psychonauts forever and now it would appear dreams are going to certainly come true for developer and players alike.
Congratulations to Tim Schafer and the rest of Double Fine. We’ll look forward to playing Psychonauts 2 when it comes out.
