You’d better check your emails to see if you’ve received EA’s golden ticket to play the closed alpha version of Battlefield 1. Reddit users have been posting about receiving their code for their respective platforms, you know, the general internet bragging you see constantly.
The Battlefield 1’s closed alpha is available on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The codes went out last night, but because no one knows what the criteria for even receiving a code is, no one knows if more will be sent out. Maybe Battlefield fans will get really lucky and they’ll all have a code by the end of today, but that’s pretty hopeful.
Here’s what the email says in full:
“Help up test Battlefield 1.
Experience the dawn of all out war in the Battlefield 1 Closed Alpha. Jump in and test out the St. Quentin Scar, one of the maps available in the game.
We want to hear your thoughts! Please provide any feedback by posting on this private message board in the new Battlefield Forums (Only Closed Alpha participants will be able to see and access the private Closed Alpha Feedback Forum section).
Please note that all details with the Battlefield 1 Closed Alpha are strictly confidential at this time until otherwise communicated by EA and/or DICE. Do not share or post any information, screenshots, or videos on public forums or social channels, as explicitly stated in the Test Agreement, the acceptance of which is required to participate in this test. The Test Agreement is found during installation of the Battlefield 1 Closed Alpha.”
Judging by the fact that several players have posted information about them playing in the Closed Alpha, we can safely say to expect more information about the game in the coming days. The email even says not to share or post any information about the game on public forums or social channels, which is exactly why multiple people posted it to Reddit. As this message has come in the form of an email, there won’t be any repercussions… luckily.
Battlefield 1 is scheduled to launch on October 21st for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
