If you're not sure what the Ninth World of Torment: Tides of Numenera actually is, a new introduction trailer should be enough to clear up any immediate questions.
Though already available through the Steam Early Access initiative, those who haven't bought into the game already likely haven't seen much of the RPG title for a some time. While present at a few trade shows like Gamescom in the past, Torment: Tides of Numenera had no playable build open to the public a few short months ago.
So anyone looking to peer into the Ninth World had to hope it showed at their convention of choice and join a lengthy line for an equally lengthy presentation. Now, however, with the game's first real trailer, we're introduced to the history of the Numenera machines and their magical properties.
The trailer serves to highlight some of the title's lore-heavy locations while teaching you about the many species, races and factions you'll come across in the sci-fi RPG early next year.
Torment: Tides of Numenera can already be played through Steam Early Access. The full release only has a tentative Q1 2017 release date.
