Bethesda has posted a new trailer showing off what many fans of the longtime DOOM series have been waiting for: full on multiplayer gameplay. The studio has also announced a new closed beta that will be running from 31st March to 3rd April on all platforms.
According to the beta signup rules, ”The Closed Beta will be available to those that pre-ordered Wolfenstein: The New Order and redeemed their Beta code. For more information about the Closed Beta, please visit http://doom.com/beta.”
As for the trailer itself, the first thing players will notice is that the game is beautiful, especially for a multiplayer mode. Several weapons are shown off, from energy weapons that fire blue energy orbs to traditional projectile weapons like the assault rifle. Even more intriguing is the “Demon Room Spawn”, which takes the action to Hell and allows a player to become a monstrous demonic creature that other players have to take down while it munches away on its enemies.
DOOM will be launching worldwide on May 13th, 2016 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
