Ubisoft’s earning call revealed information about the sequel to Watch Dogs including minor details relating to the gameplay.
The earnings call briefly detailed Ubisoft’s game line-up for the current financial year, including Watch Dogs 2. We already know Watch Dogs 2 will be arriving this year thanks to the information in Ubisoft’s quarterly financials. Ubisoft have revealed some new information relating to the new game and what it hopes to achieve sales wise.
“Our biggest title will be Watch Dogs, which will build on the success of the first game. It has been one of Ubisoft’s best selling games of all time.” said Ubisoft CEO, Yves Guillemot. “The game will once again surprise players with a new tone and innovative hacking gameplay possibilities. We can’t wait to show your more.
There’s not much else we know about Watch Dogs 2 except the information above and the fact that it will feature DirectX 12 support. We only hope it will be a better game than the first one, which scored a respectable 7.0 from us. Here’s what Joe Donnelly had to say about the game: “It’s good, but it could, and probably should, have been great. The underlying irony of Watch Dogs is the fact that the game itself suffers a bit too much from an identity crisis.”
