Despite its initial gameplay demo, Ubisoft’s medieval combat game still felt like something of an enigma. We got a much more thorough look at the game today thanks to Ubisoft’s press event, along with a romantic release date.
We knew that For Honor would have a strong multiplayer component, but Ubisoft revealed today what the game’s single-player would look like. Set in a world where the ancient cultures of Earth have been subjected to eternal warfare, the campaign mission showed off a viking invasion of samurai holdings.
Similar to the multiplayer, you control a powerful warrior amid hordes of normal units. Meeting other powerful generals on the field leads to a one on one fight requiring a combination of timing and rock-paper-scissors strategy.
For Honor will release on February 14, 2017.
