Following the success of the Abe’s Oddyssey remake, New ‘n’ Tasty, Oddworld Inhabitants announced a similar reimagining of the sequel, Abe’s Exoddus.
Titled Oddworld: Soulstorm, the game will retell the adventures of Abe and his 300 freshly-liberated followers as they wander lost in the desert. A “strange brew” has ”insidious ramifications” for their newly acquired liberty.
Series creator Lorne Lanning suggests that this edition will also expand on the original plot. “Soulstorm gives us the opportunity to flesh out more meat on the bones of an original spine, but retell the fable from a very different angle.”
Soulstorm is expected to release in the latter half of 2017.
