If you were a fan of the first Divinity: Original Sin you’re going to be happy to hear that the sequel has launched today via Early Access on Steam. The sequel brings along with a few new features that lovers of the original are sure to enjoy. The least of these is the ability to play with three other friends.
There are many Key Features listed on game’s steam page by Larian Studios:
Origins - You will be able to play as a myriad of races, each their own skills, interactions, dialogue and quest lines. You will be able to pick an origin story that will define your character or even create your own story by building your own.
Freedom - Boasting new freedoms, Divinity: Original Sin 2 claims you will be able to “go anywhere, talk to anyone and interact with everything”. Along with this NPCs will all be killable, and objects will be destructible.
Elemental Combinations - Elements can be combined for “explosive combos”. Surfaces can be changed via blessings and curses and new skills will be craftable.
4 Player - 4 Player Playability combined with the Origin Stories will give the players different and possibly conflicting objectives which will open the door to both co-operative and competitive game play experiences.
PVP Arena - A Pvp arena mode will allow players to compete with each other in turn based combat with explosives, loot, and traps.
The game being in Early Access means that this will only be the beginning, who knows where the game will go from here. Time will only be able to tell but so far the Steam reviews are painting a positive picture.
