Blizzard has announced a new map for its “don’t call it a MOBA” hero brawler Heroes of the Storm. The new map is called Lost Cavern and eliminates objectives and multiple paths, opting for a single lane to streamline strategy to a pure brute force.
The map comes from observing conservative tactics on various maps, Blizzard reveals. ”The Hearthstones and Starting Area heals have been removed so that Heroes have no reason to fall back from the fight. Regeneration Orb spawns and brush, meanwhile, have been strategically placed around the lane to keep the fights active and interesting.”
”Think of this map as a sandbox in which you can express yourself creatively—as well as have fun playing. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!”
However, Lost Cavern will only be available in custom games. According to Blizzard, this is how to set up a Lost Cavern match:
- Create your Custom Lobby on Lost Cavern.
- Open the Chat channel where you want to link your game.
- Type /lobbylink Description
- Press Enter to send the message
- You did it! Players can now simply click your link and will be automatically placed into your Custom Game Lobby.
Heroes of the Storm was released exclusively on PC back on June 2nd, 2015.
