With an ongoing Kickstarter campaign looming over their heads, Akimbo Creations have today showcased over 20 minutes of new gameplay footage from their ambitious time-wielding shooter ARC Continuum.
Citing a fresh take on co-op gameplay, ARC Continuum allows players to join each other’s sessions through space-time rifts. The sci-fi action/adventure game tasks you with manipulating time to restore an ancient civilization. Akimbo as a whole cites the Kickstarter campaign as a means to seek out the game’s original vision following a lesser cash injection from the Canadian Media Fund.
Taking cues from Deus Ex and Prince of Persia, you’re given the ability to wield time, allowing for skills like Blink and Rewind to become useful abilities in a ruin filled with things trying to repeatedly kill you.
Should the Kickstarter campaign prove fruitful, ARC Continuum is heading for a March 2017 ‘Early Access’ release through Steam and has already received Greenlight status.
