Spanish game developer Lince Works has confirmed that PC folks can expect to see Aragami, a third-person stealth game, arriving on PC before the end of the year.
Set to release in both digital and physical forms globally this fall from publisher Merge Games, if Aragami seems familiar that’s because the game originally began life on Kickstarter back in 2014 under the name Twin Souls: The Path of Shadows. Interestingly, Sony Computer Entertainment also seems to have had a hand in bringing the game to market, though the extent of their involvement is unclear at this stage.

Sticking players in the murderous shoes of the titular Aragami, an undead assassin brought to life with supernatural powers by a mysterious woman called Yamiko, it’s fair to say that this isn’t your standard third-person stealth em’ up type fare. With a bespoke focus on stealth and murder over battle and confrontation, Aragami expands on its concept by chucking in a whole heap of shadow powers to aid players in their endeavours.
From the Shadow Leap ability that allows Aragami to move about the environment undetected, to the Shadow Vanish skill that allows our undead assassin to silently dispose of corpses and the Shadow Clone ability that allows him to replicate himself to distract foes, it’s pretty clear that you’ll need more than just basic cloak and dagger acumen to make it through the game.
Citing such genre classics as Tenchu, Mark of the Ninja and Dishonored, Aragami looks like it could make quite the hit when it stalks PC this coming fall, but in the meantime, you might want to check out the rather natty announcement trailer for the game below.
