Back when Dontnod were working on Life is Strange, we were expected to wait months between each 'episode'. Unlike a TV show that has you sit around for only a week (unless its the holiday season) episodic games usually pad themselves out a little more. But Telltale like to keep that wait to a minimum as episode 4 of BATMAN - The Telltale Series is just a day away.
In 'Guardian of Gotham' you'll see many familiar faces of the past. Harvey Dent/Two-Face is back from the last episode bringing some geared-up SWAT thugs who're pretty open to discharging their weapons. Joker does the classic slow-turn and spooks us with a fairly young looking face and Penguin is around there somewhere too.
Of course, it'll promise the same kind of emotional rollercoaster Telltale usually fixate their efforts on. They like to make people feel something with their actions rather than how you might have wailed on hundreds of brutes in the Arkham guys without much thought into what they must be going through, too.
Telltale's original plan was to release an episode every 5-8 weeks throughout 2016. Though the idea in question would cut things incredibly close, episode 3 launched sooner than expected. Following suit, episode 5's November 22 slot falls more in like with a 4-week time-frame than the proposed 5.
Either way, sooner rather than later is a good philosophy when you're aiming to wrap things up by the end of the year. The bat is your christmas present. What more could you ask for?
