It may not have performed quite to the expectations of the general public, but 2K Games were content enough with the sales of Mafia III. With players still to please, it's time for the latest additions to the criminal sandbox - races!
With the game as a whole being rapidly influenced by classic car chase scenes, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise to see Mafia III going all-in with the vehicles.
You've driven around in many of the classics already during your time in New Bordeaux, but not quite in the way the developers originally intended. Making us wait might be seen a little cruel, but it should make the end result that much sweeter knowing we've clocked the miles necessary to tear up the roads in the most efficient manner.
Wondering why Mafia III released in a bit of a troubled state? Apparently things weren't so hot at 2K Games.
There's 12 races spread out all around New Bordeaux with the events being split evenly between circuit lap and point-to-point bouts. Indicated by 'race markers' on the map after sitting with all three lieutenants, you'll be able to trigger the line by rocking up in your favorite car. There's plenty of new customisations to unlock - and even a new car to bring your collection into the double digits.
And for those who link their copy of the game to a My2K account, you could earn yourself a customer Il Duca revolver that looks like it just came out of the furnace.
