I’d generally open a story like this with a quick rundown of Street Fighter V’s launch woes, but it really feels like beating a dead horse at this point. You already know that the servers barely worked. You already know that the game was missing genre-standard features and options. You already know that Capcom hasn’t been able to keep up their promised update schedule. But hey, a new character’s out next week!
In all seriousness, Street Fighter V got all the fundamentals right and Juri looks to be another excellent addition to roster. Introduced in Super Street Fighter IV, she’s a S.I.N. agent from South Korea with mischievous streak, a love of spiders, and a burning desire for vengeance. She’s a Taekwondo master and will take out her opponents with fast and furious kicks.

Her V-Skill is called Kasatsushu, and allows her to charge a rushing kick attack that strikes the opponent from behind, while her V-Trigger, Feng Shui Engine, lets her cancel all standard attacks into one another. Finally, her Critical Art is Sakkai Fuhazan and it lets her kick out a large, multihit slicing blast toward the opponent.
Juri will be out on July 26, with her Story and Premium Battle costumes becoming available at the same time. In addition, some Premium Summer Costumes will hit on the same day, allowing you to dress Ibuki, Cammy, and Laura up in swimsuits. You know, in case you didn’t find their default costumes revealing enough.
