I think I refer to Telltale as “prolific” in every single story I post about them, and in terms of sheer volume I don’t know how many developers can keep up. Minecraft: Story Mode is still going strong, the Walking Dead side-story Michonne wrapped up a few months ago, Batman is starting in a couple of weeks, and the Walking Dead Season Three will hit later this year.
We just learned a few more details about that third season. It once again features Clementine, now adventuring with a mysterious new character named Javier, and you’ll take control of both characters over the course of the story. You’ll also be reunited with AJ, the son of Rebecca from Season Two.
The Walking Dead has a well-deserved spot on our list of the best zombie games on PC!
Telltale is feeling cagey about revealing too much of the story, and that’s understandable since it’s the game’s entire hook. We do know that they’re planning for this season be a jumping-on point for new players, and some amount of Clementine’s backstory will be retold over the season. Folks new to the series will get a chance to see what happened, while returning players will be able to see how their choices led to the current situation.
The release schedule for the Walking Dead Season Three hasn’t been fully ironed out, but it’s due for release this fall. An untitled Marvel series is set set to debut next year, with a Game of Thrones Season Two to follow some time after.
