Bandai Namco today revealed additional details about the multiplayer modes and characters for Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, which will be released for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 28th October.
Majin Vegeta will once again return to show the darkest side of Vegeta, but this time players will get a chance to embody what Bandai Namco says is one of the franchises most “awaited and emblematic characters”.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will feature many of the multiplayer modes found in previous games, but these will be enhanced and there will be some new ones too. Endless fights will be available with the choice of using zero stat avatars to show off your fighting skills in ranked or un-ranked matches.
The first new multiplayer mode that Bandai Namco has revealed is a 6vs1 Expert Mission mode, which sees six players trying to take down a single NPC boss fight. The NPC can split you up by sending you to different dimensions where sub challenges will have to be completed, so you’ll need to be careful.
Quests have also been increased by twice the amount, with new versions of parallel quests from the first Xenoverse game, as well as a new system for rare item drops that will allow players to search for their favourite costumes and accessories.
Bandai Namco wants to give players a little sneak peak of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, so it’s announced that an open beta will be coming soon that allows you to explore Conton City and try out expert Missions. We haven’t been told what platforms the open beta will be for, or when it will be available, but Bandai did say that more details will be coming soon.
