Don’t you just hate it when a major AAA release comes along, offers months of content with some issues, and then they go and release paid DLC rather than patching those problems? Well, Ubisoft is getting a step (or maybe just a half-step) ahead of the curve, because they’re delaying the next two Division expansions to focus on improvements to the core game.
The 1.4 update will focus on both bug fixes and game improvements. That includes better balancing for gear and weapons, better balancing for the Dark Zone and PvP, adjusted enemy difficulty, “more relevant” loot drops, and various smaller changes and additions based on player feedback.
Ubisoft wrote “This ongoing effort will begin with Update 1.4 where we will address some of the most pressing issues, such as bugs, loot and time to kill and set the foundations for future improvements such as PvP and Dark Zone. We will make sure to keep you informed of our progress in our weekly State of the Game, and share the complete overview of the changes to come in Update 1.4 in a Special Report livestream on September 13th.”
The Survival expansion was initially set to launch alongside the 1.4 update, but will now release later this year, which will similarly push the Last Stand add-on back into early 2017.
