If you could bring a trusted friend into your Bethesda experience to wander the wastelands or lands of Tamriel, would you? For a lot of players, this would be a dream come true. Modders have long worked to try to circumvent Bethesda systems to allow this possibility and now a new Fallout: New Vegas mod is asking for player participation in a multiplayer Beta.
Reddit user nvmp_corporal recently posted about what they were creating, how it works, and what players can expect out of the multiplayer mod. VATs will be disabled in the mod as it would be a nightmare to compensate slow motion for both players. Furthermore, while the mod is meant to be compatible with mods that don’t bring new regions or items into the game, it will not work for DLC just yet. You can catch a glimpse of the mod in action below:
Players that want to participate in this Beta must first sign up over on the NV-MP website. As it is a Beta, players can expect that saves won’t carry over on many of the updates. Nonetheless, if you want to be apart of this endeavor to bring a true co-op experience to one of the most enjoyable Fallout games to date, this is your opportunity.
The next test is in less than two weeks and eligible participants will be emailed with what they need to access the mod.
