Charity game bundles have been around for a while now–heck, the Humble Bundle is basically its own industry at this point–but HELP: The Game is a little bit different. It’s a collection of a dozen original games built by independent studios exclusively for the War Child organization. There are some names you’ll definitely recognize among the list of the developers and 100% of the profits are going to the charity.
Those developers include Team17, Curve Digital, Rovio, and Creative Assembly. You’ve got titles ranging from colorful puzzlers, platformers, and multiplayer brawlers to more serious titles about growing up in war-ravaged nations. Every developer donated their time for free, exclusively to help put this package together.
Little developers with big hearts. Here are some of the best indie games on PC!
War Child works to help kids growing up in war-torn nations, especially in Africa and the Middle East. Rob Williams, the organization’s CEO, said “It’s fitting that the games business has taken this project to its heart as, after all, every child should have the right to play but not all get that chance. We’re extremely grateful to everyone who has agreed to get involved and we hope their efforts will not only raise much-needed funds, but also awareness of our work amongst a vast audience of gamers across the globe.”
HELP: The Game is available on Steam for $14.99, and all proceeds are going straight to charity.
