What's worse than a Goblin with a knife? Two goblins with two knives! Styx brings a friend in the newest Styx: Shards of Darkness co-op trailer.
Showing up just as quietly as Styx himself, the co-op mode emerges less than two weeks before it's released onto store shelves.
In a mode that could easily be the deciding factor behind mended or broken friendships, Styx: Shards of Darkness looks to bring the silent tension of modern Splinter Cell co-operative features into a world full of terrible Goblin puns and throat stabs.

Those with a persistent online connection will be able to open or close their single-player campaign session to anyone looking to sneak around with a buddy. Including drop-in/drop-out functionality, it's entirely possible to have a good friend ruin your chances of a well-timed, clean kill by zoning into your session and rolling around a crowded area. While there's no mention of multiplayer specific scenarios, doubling up on fleet-footed goblins will open up more ways of clearing any given portion of the game.
Releasing on March 14, pre-purchase is still available through GreenManGaming at 10% off the usual price.
