Divinity: Original Sin 2 Patch Notes
1. Download and install SteamCMD
SteamCMD is a command-line version of Steam and can be downloaded here or more directly right here. Put it in its own folder somewhere, run SteamCMD.exe, and after a few updates and verifications you'll get the following command prompt:
Don't be scared by the classic ancient DOS prompt, we'll guide you through it. First, type in login anonymous. It should say the following then return you to the prompt:
"Connecting anonymously to Steam Public...Logged in OK
Waiting for user info...OK"
2. Find The Game and Mod ID Codes
You'll need two ID codes to access it through Steam CMD - one for the game itself, the other for the Mod you want on Steam Workshop.
To find the Divinity: Original Sin 2 APPID code, head here. It's currently "435150", although that may change after an update. It's also in the URL of the game's Steam Workshop page, where we're heading next.
Head to the Workshop and find the page for the Mod you want. For our example, we're picking Bard & Artificer Classes. In the Mod's URL you'll see the number code you need, which in this case is "1139466080".
So now you have Game = 435150 and Mod = 1139466080.
3. Head Back To SteamCMD and Download the Mod
With our codes prepared, head back to the SteamCMD prompt and type in workshop_download_item [game code] [mod code], which in our case will be "workshop_download_item 435150 1139466080". Yes, you can copy and paste it.
After a moment of Downloading, the SteamCMD prompt will say "Success" and the Mod will have downloaded to the folder you put SteamCMD in. Or more specifically, "[SteamCMD folder]\steamapps\workshop\content\435150\1139466080". Obviously the last two folders will change based on Game Version ID and Mod. Hooray.
4. Move to your Divinity Original Sin 2 Mods Folder and Play!
Inside the previously mentioned folder will be a single .pak file. Cut or copy it and put the file in "[Divinity Original Sin 2 install folder]/Data/Mods".
Then, open your GOG version of Divinity: Original Sin 2, select Mods, and it should be on the list.
Now Go Play! And let us know if you have any trouble!
