People keep saying there still isn't really much money to be had in developing virtual reality games, but we're still seeing big-name studios work on the experimental platform. The latest to jump in is Tripwire Interactive who're set to bring the popular Killing Floor franchise into your HMD in just a few weeks.
Killing Floor: Incursion marks the first time Tripwire's horror shooter has been natively available on a VR platform. Oculus Rift and HTC Vive users have likely had the game running on a big virtual screen in there, but this version will be more akin to the likes of full 360 degree experiences like Robo Recall or Dead n' Buried.
Releasing exclusively for the Oculus Rift on August 16, this one could come as a slight kick in the teeth for HTC Vive owners when you consider Killing Floor caught its big break on Steam. As any player of the series will know, you're not stuck in one spot fighting around the encroaching dead - you're encourages to scavenge for goods between waves and hole up in a suitable choke point that hopefully won't become your grave.

The key is knowing what you can manage and finding a spot that can accommodate your skill while still offering a potential escape route. In this one, you're taking on the role of an elite Horzine Security Forces soldier with guns, blades and everyday objects scattered and ready to use hold back the Zed forces.
There's a gameplay demo with MissesMae down below for you to get the idea, with a behind the scenes clip in the middle of this post. If you're yet to pick up a Rift + Touch bundle, they're still down to £400 for a few weeks yet.
