Considered to be one of the first cover-based third-person shooters, Rogue Trooper Redux is set to release across a wide range of platforms in just a couple of weeks. The latest '101' trailer should help get you in the mood.
Based upon the classic 2000AD comic series, (of which includes Judge Dredd), Rogue Trooper Redux is an upgraded and remastered Asura+ D3D11 version of the 2006 title.
Released on platforms like the PS2 and original Xbox in 2006 - with the Xbox 360 already released and the PlayStation 3 on the horizon - Rogue Trooper likely didn't attract much of a crowd. But those who did pick up up were generally very pleased in their purchase with IGN awarding an 8/10 score and Gamespot only really marking it down for a weak multiplayer component.

Rogue Trooper Redux looks substantially better with a two-generation leap in technology while retaining its core gameplay. Rather than just mindless shooting, it stays close to its source material by using Rogue's 'helm' to conjure up holodecoys and offer strategic pointers in combat. With plenty of weapons and 2-4 player co-op, Rogue Trooper Redux has a bit of everything.
Releasing on October 17 worldwide, this isn't some remake looking to sap you of a full AAA game worth of price. It'll launch for a very respectable £20/$25.
