Coming some time next year, there's still a lengthy wait between the players and Psychonauts 2, but at least there's a new developer walkthrough to ensure it's still forever in our minds.
The beginning of this new 'Art Test' addresses the recent publishing deal between Double Fine Studios and Starbreeze. With Double Fine taking in 4 million through the game's initial Fig investment program, the newly closed publishing deal will see Starbreeze double that with their own investment.
With that in mind, the publishing group will be sapping 80% of the game's turn-around once it releases, dipping down to a more respectable 60% once their initial investment is returned to their coffers. Schafer comments on how "They come from a development background, like us," before continuing with "They'll also know when we're lying, so we won't do that,</b>". Way to keep the man in check, Starbreeze.
Here's The First-Look Psychonauts 2 Art Test We Got Back In October Last Year
The new art test takes place in a similar fashion to the one released in the later half of last year with things looking a little more polished and refined this time around. Instead of focusing on the gang's den from the start of the game and a test bed for its visuals, we're given a look at the 'Quarry'.
So how's it coming along in your eyes? Was you one of the many who gifted Schafer and his team a $4 million investment way back then? Your thoughts are always welcome down below!
