It's been a little while since we've heard much about Worms W.M.D. But that changes today! Having released last Summer, the brighter weather is cause for new content. Namely the return of Forts.
Available right this very minute, players of Worms W.M.D are now able to help their tiny war-waging worms up in the solitude of a handy Fort.
Being a free update, it goes hand-in-hand with the continued efforts of Team17's post-launch support. Closing in on a year in the field following the All-Stars pack and the Liberation update, Forts brings an all-new gamemode into the mix as you're tasked with infiltrating the opponents fort while defending your own.
Of course, a fort isn't a simple castle design or one of those make-shift cages you'd build in the earlier games with nothing but a girder each turn. Six pre-built fortifications are available from the get-go. Namely 'Castle Hassle', 'Donkey Dig', 'Reactor', 'Haunted', 'Pink Peril' and 'Rocket'. On top of this, there's a bunch of new customization rewards and obligatory bug fixes. One of these new items is the craftable 'Magnetised Drone' designed by the community.
Being available right now, if Worms W.M.D still happens to be installed on your system, you'll likely see Steam fire up the download procedure straight away. Need a copy? Green Man Gaming currently has it at 40% off!
