We all likely saw this coming from a mile away, but Ubisoft have finally confirmed our suspicions - For Honor is holding a free trial weekend in just a few days.
Following shortly after the announcement of a new season bringing new modes, maps, characters and combat refinements, was there ever really a chance Ubisoft wouldn't pull this trick to gain a little exposure?
The free weekend even kicks off August 10 on the PC platform and is scheduled to end August 13. Exact times are a 10PM PDT kickoff and a a 1pm PDT end on the days mentioned above. Pre-load is available right now, though don't go expecting to grab it through Steam just yet. It seems you'll have to wait until tomorrow for that to fire up. Should you decide to stick around, For Honor will be 50% off on most digital marketplaces throughout the event.

Ubisoft Still Committed To Fixing For Honor - Outlines Two New Seasons And Dedicated Server Plans
For Honor has had a rough time. Despite being yet another eargely anticipated Ubisoft IP, technical issues barring players from finding online matches quickly soured the launch experience and continued for quite some time. Despite breaking player records during the open beta, For Honor just couldn't keep up the momentum, eventually falling to as a little as 2000 concurrent players on Steam.
With Ubisoft typically fail to maintain a multiplayer game, Rainbow Six Siege continues to perform well. Likely spurred on from that, they're still committed to getting For Honor into an honorable position.
