Apparently being 2 weeks away from Halloween, Devolver Digital is gearing up to scare us silly with Stories Untold.
Releasing February 27 at a time that couldn't be much further away from the month of non-stop spooks comes a compilation of 4 different stories.
Giving off a Stranger Things meets Unsolved Mysteries vibe from the initial poster alone, developers 'No Code' likely used code to get this close to release. Though with today's development tools, anything is possible. Oddly enough, scrolling down the game's already established Steam page will give you piece of trivia you may or may not have expected - the poster is actually designed by Kyle Lambert - the very same behind the Stranger Things artwork.
Yuppie Psycho Aims To Take A Leaf From Horror Classics And The Legend Of Zelda
Coming from a small team of around 4-6 people likely fluctuating depending on the requirements of the job, Stories Untold spins 4 tall tales into "One Nightmare". Using what would appear to be an aged Sinclair ZX Spectrum, you can tell just about when these stories are set. Being a text-based adventure game, you'll be loading up 4 different tapes from the now cancelled show of the same name with one being a remastering of the original 'The House Abandon' pilot from the older Itch.io title that stemmed from a game jam.
So for those who followed the original, you'll get a properly polished redux of the original piece of this story with three more thrown in for good measure. Not bad!
