El Presidente never rests. Never sleeps. Never stops tending to the will of their people. Sort of, anyway. We can't imagine any ruler of a country ever deciding to seize a wonder of the world - but it's something you can do as one in the newly announced Tropico 6.
Though it was originally teased a few weeks back, we can now confirm that Tropico 6 is indeed coming - but not until next year. Rest easy, though; it'll show up on both Linux and Mac, too.
Return to Tropico yet again as El Presidente in a time where people need you more than ever. Social unreset and political issues are running rife through the impressive archipelagos of Tropico 6, and the people need a ruler they can trust. One that can get the job done across 4 well-defined eras of the game. There's even mention of covfefe - so you know it's taking things seriously.
Tropico 6 begins its life on the moderately impressive Unreal Engine - one we know that handle beautiful greenery with relative ease. After 6 numbered entries in the series, this new edition sees the introduction of seperately managed archipelagos that can all be connected to your nation's mainland through handy bridges so your people are free to travel between these secluded worlds as you decorate your expensive palace.
New challenges await as you take on the world from the comfort of your own growing collection of floating rocks. Expect to hear more in the coming month. But for now, you can make do with this debut trailer.
