Putting out another sequel in video game form, Gun Media just gave us our first glimpse of a playable Jason Voorhees in the upcoming mouthful: Friday the 13th: The Game, Part 6: Jason Lives!
Presumably running through single-player, the new gameplay trailer shows off the almost paranormal abilities of the legendary killer. Equip with a near endless supply of projectiles, the masked man attempts to spook and splat whoever he can get close to.
And getting close doesn't seem to be an issue for lunatic, either. Able to 'Morph' to almost any location on the map, Jason understands how to keep tension high and suspense rolling as the background music keeps the dream alive as he missed the mark and smashes a few windows as his prey darts through the door.
Close to Halloween, Gun Media scared their fans another way - by delaying Friday the 13th: The Game
After a few quick scares, Jason heads off to chase another wannabee survivor - and we know how these movies end. Possibly escaping a premature death, his gentle jog doesn't do him any favors after a quick bash to the back of the head.
And where is the music coming from? It's a tribute by The Misfit's that the trailer hopes you'll pick up from the official Misfits Records Online store. It's a two-way deal. Friday the 13th: The Game is pencilled into the ominous Early 2017 release window on Steam.
