It's rare that we get to play the bad guy - but Dungeons has been doing it for years. If you're looking at throwing demons onto the surface world or slaying a bunch of do-gooders down in the depths, Dungeons 3 wants you to do that in as many ways as you can imagine.
Our last look at Dungeon 3 didn't show us an awful lot more than a somewhat comical CG trailer in which we saw Thalya be beckoned by the Dungeon Lord into heading up their expansion efforts.
Opting to wait until the E3 buzz started to wind down, Kalypso Media have pieced together and published our first in-game look at how Dungeons III brings the series into a much 'slicker' space. It's a bloody mess already - but not in the way British slang would usually convey.
Dungeons 3 Announced For Fall 2017 Release
Dungeons 3 follows in the footsteps of its ageing predecessors. Rather than being the sword-wielding hero tasked with ridding the dungeons of its demonic presence, you're the ruler of the dungeon looking to bring the fight to the human threat. If anyway dares venture into your winding labyrinth, your meticulously crafted maze of mutilation should keep them at bay. And once they're aware of your brutality - you send your angry army to deal with the problem up above.
Already said to be the 'biggest and best entry' by Kalypso themselves, Dungeons 3 is planned for a Fall 2017 release. And this one includes randomly-generated levels.
