If you've joined in any big-name beta - or played any MMO on launch day - you've likely come across your fair share of log-in issues. For one Destiny 2 player, however, they managed to rack up 500 of them.
While that may scream 'your servers suck' to Bungie, Activision and their hopes to have Destiny 2 surpass the original game, it's more a comical shout-out of stupidity targeting the person continuously trying to log in outside of operating hours.
To the individual who tried to log in to the beta over 500 times this weekend, the wait is almost over.

While there's a good chance someone assumed the PC beta for Destiny 2 would be happening at the same time as its console variants, that's isn't true at all. Just like how we're getting the full game later than our console brothers, our beta is a separate entity too.

But we can't use that same plea of ignorance on the mystery person in question here, as they swarmed the server with over 500 log-in requests before the game had even gone live. It wasn't the case of the equipment being bombarded by millions of potential players - it was one person essentially spending the whole day trying to open a store door with a 'closed' sign on it. And Bungie knew. They tweeted all about it.
So while we can imagine that player did eventually make into the game - once the servers actually went live, there's a part of me that hopes they gave up; thinking the beta was done when it had only just begun.
