After accumulating a few pieces of negative feedback, the developers of The Other 99 took spun negative Steam reviews into positive outlooks in a little over two weeks.
With all this horror news presenting itself on a Friday, we could have sworn it was October. Or at least Friday the 13th. It's neither.
Permitted a generous benefit of the doubt by sitting in Steam's Early Access passbook, reviews for The Other 99 were initially negative while being firm reminders of why titles are banking on Early Access playthoughs to set them on the right track early on.

Switching up the game to address the concerns of those early players, Burning Arrow and Deck 13 put out an update fixing a lot of problems presented to them by those players. Through a quick update, users can expect to start their survival horror experience in a more well-rounded location with a heavily reworking balance curve, the ability to better live off the land and many new visual changes and improvements to the mysterious island you find yourself traversing.
With one Steam reviewing making note that all the changes he suggested were implemented just two weeks later, it's hard not to commend Burning Arrow on their underlying resolve. That being said, the title itself will likely remain in Early Access for some time yet. There's even a new trailer to show things off.
