According to a Famitsu poll conducted with the Japanese gaming public, CD Projekt’s epic The Witcher 3 is the best non-Japanese RPG… despite only coming in at 20th on the list. Slots 1-19 were taken up by Japanese RPGs, with the recently released Persona 5 taking the top spot.

Everyone who entered could vote three times. Out of those who voted, 56% were men and 43% were women (1 percent didn’t say). 9% were teens, 36% in their 20s, 37% in their 30s, 16% in their 40s, 1% in their 50s, and another 1% didn’t say.
No American RPGs made it to the list, such as anything by Bethesda or Bioware. Out of the top 20, only The Witcher 3, Final Fantasy VIII, Final Fantasy IX, Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy VI, and Nier Automata are on PC. We have hopes for Final Fantasy XV and Persona 5, however.
