Square Enix remember the hype of when a bunch of modders creative a multiplayer mode to their open-world mayhem simulator Just Cause 2. They shipped its sequel without such a feature, likely knowing modders would do the hard work for them yet again.
And they have. Picking up on the news, Just Cause 3 is actually enjoying a free-play period that, for once, isn't taking place over the weekend.
Now available through Steam, you can download the entirety of Just Cause 3 for a limited time - convenient timing considering the multiplayer mod just released too. Likely knowing those who get a taste of the multiplayer madness would want to spend the weekend playing it, they've made it available to try for free until tomorrow afternoon with a sale carrying on to weekend. They tempt you with that first free hit.
It May Be 3 Years Old, But Just Cause 3 Is Still The King Of Mayhem Simulators - Our Review
One Of The Creators Of The Just Cause 2 Multiplayer Mod Was Hired By Avalance
The idea of injecting Just Cause 3 with a bit of multiplayer mayhem means it becomes something akin to Saints Row meets Grand Theft Auto. All these games fit within the same sort of open-world family, but each their their limitations. Just Cause 3 would become a fast-paced court of explosions with plenty of bad drivers pulling stunts, racing across the wide-open landscapes and just otherwise gunning each other down or slamming into the ground after jumping from a plane.
And best of all, it's completely free! While the multiplayer mod won't set you back a penny, the game itself is just £7.49 for a limited time. But if you're quick to the deal, you can try it for free anyway; just to see if you'd like to keep at it. You can check it out through Steam right now.
