Announced just a few days ago during Amplitude Studios' self-proclaimed 'Endless Day', the Horatio faction is now available for Endless Space 2.
The new update brings the total number of playable races up to six - just two shy of its goal to have 8 available for its official launch.
Landing into Early Access a few months back, Endless Space 2 is the sequel to the 4X space strategy sim that put Amplitude Studios on a map - an achievement that would later see them be picked up by Sega. Introducing more than just a new playable class, the new update brings additional minor factions, an improved battle system and a huge shake-up for the in-game tech tree.

But who are the Horatio? Well... mostly all one guy. Returning from the original game, the Horatio are led by a ruler whos riches convinced him to create clones of himself. The trillionaire echoes the thoughts of a certain someone, meaning he wants to make the galaxy great again. With the ability to absorb the DNA of other factions into their own, the Horatio just want a bit of everything.
Through the update, victory can be achieved in 5 new ways: Conquest, Supremacy, Science, Wonder and Economy with a new system scan view and some tweaks to the inner workings of the population and senate systems. You can grab Endless Space 2 through Steam.
