We live in a time where the leader of the free world barely believes in climate change. It's real, and there's a massive amount of technology, research, and spending going into slowing it down. Some of that arrives in Cities: Skylines next month as the Green Cities expansion plants the seed of the future.
Announced at this year's Gamescom event in Cologne, Germany, Paradox Interactive and developer Colossal Order would only give a rough '2017' release for the upcoming expansion. Turns out, it's actually coming sooner than we thought - like in around 3 weeks.
Cities: Skylines - Green Cities in an expansion all about cleaning up your metropolis. With over 350 new assets you'll be curbing pollution by switching to electric motors, bringing in relentless recycling rules, or cleaning up your town's image with garden skyscrapers, island attractions and heaps more grass.
All this not enough for you? Check out all these free Cities: Skylines mods!
As always, those who don't feel like shelling out for hundreds of new objects and items can always look forward to a free content update gracing the base game on the same day. Offering a taste of that clean air, all Cities: Skylines players will gain access to road mods, electric cars, noise pollution changes and loads of new park and tree options.
With an October 19 release now set in renewable resource, there's a new trailer to sit alongside it. It even has a catchy little jingle!
