Stardock may have gone through most of their life offering crazy Windows add-ons like ObjectDock and Deskscapes; but their game division is still a major focus for them. It’s about to release Galactic Civilizations III: Crusade.
Now officially due to release on May 4, 2017, there’s plenty going into this turn-based 4X strategy gem to keep it from feeling dated.
With even its Steam page gloating that Galactic Civilizations III boasts the largest space-base strategy game of all time, there’s only so much a new expansion can build onto the ambitious space sim already, right? Well, if you’re into graphical upgrades, new civilizations and custom ship fleets, you’ll find them all soon.
Learn How The Exterminate Phase Of Galactic Civilizations III: Crusade Will Break The 4X Mould
Making a big deal about how the ‘story’ of Galactic Civilization III is always forged by your own actions and willpower, Galactic Civilizations III: Crusade will feature no new campaign or storymode. It’s purely game features here. With a vastly improved diplomacy system being thrown in for good measure, we’re to expect a long list of changes once the expansion lands next week.
For now, you can read up on how the first few turns of Galactic Civilizations III: Crusade played out for Stardock’s CEO Brad Wardell. Of course, every playthrough is different. You’re an individual, after all. But it’s a good way to know what’s coming in the near future.
