While EA certainly have no plans to usher in a new age of Battlefield so soon after the success of Battlefield 1, they're definitely hoping to send others up into space. Star Wars Battlefront II is set to be revealed at its own upcoming event.
Speaking to EA shareholders in January Andrew Wilson, the company's CEO, made mention of the high-profile title landing around the Holiday season. Usually expected to be around November/December, it could realistically be anywhere between September and the joyful month of December.

Tweeting out the final announcement yesterday, the ofifical EA StarWars account broke the news of a 'first look' trailer showing up on April 15 at 14:30 ET / 11:30 PT. It's said to be revealed during a "Galaxywide Premiere" at the Star Wars Celebration event in Orlando, Florida on the Saturday of that weekend.
Star Wars: Battlefront Gets A January Update
What the means is that while we're not entirely sure whether aliens or those still residing on Jakku are able to tap in and view the their world being shot up yet again through our own interactive medium, those back on Earth unable to jet off to Florida to see it live in person will be able to view it online at the same time.
We know next to nothing about the upcoming Star Wars Battlefront sequel. We don't know whether it'll tie in directly with the new movie much like its predecessor or whether EA have been given the freedom to craft their own unique stories this time around. All we know is that we're hoping for a single-player adventure this time around, with more iconic characters to control online.
