We may not be getting it until some time next year, but Japan is on the verge of a new Atelier game. Less than 2 months until launch over there, here’s the gorgeous opening cinematic.
Following in the footsteps of practically ever Atelier game before it, Atelier Lydie and Suelle: The Alchemists of the Mysterious Paintings opens with an a short anime segment.
Depicting the whole idea of idea of the game’s story and focus on crafting, it’s the kind that will play when booting up the title or lingering on the classic ‘Press Start’ for too long. The one from Atelier Firis is still burned into my mind after attempting to beam the thing to a Steam Link.

Of course, the opening is in Japanese at the minute. If you’re one to play KOEI TECMO’s rather impressive dubs, you may want to hold off clicking the video down below until they throw out their own version.
Confirmed for a worldwide release back in late September, Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings will release outside Japan sometime next year.
