It seems like the weeks of silence regarding Star Wars Battlefront 2 might finally be at an end. EA have finally updated the game's website to detail the new challenges for this week, with a promise that the free Season 2 DLC is "coming soon".

EA Is Reportedly Cracking Down On Battlefront II Forums, Devs Forbidden From Talking
You can check out the update here. Battlefront 2's Season 1, which was based around The Last Jedi movie, added a new map (Crait), new single-player campaign content, 2 new Heroes (Finn and Captain Phasma), and a lot of new challenges. Then the silence kicked in and everything went quiet, so it's good news that the Battlefront 2 support system is coming back.
At the moment speculation is rife with what the new Season 2 could cover. A lot of people are hoping for more Clone Wars content, perhaps with the introduction of Obi-Wan Kenobi or Ahsoka Tano for the Light Side and either General Grievous or Asajj Ventress for the Dark Side. We're hoping that customisable character skins will at last be unlocked too.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 has had a rough time since its launch, which is entirely EA's fault, but a lot of players have been able to put aside the problems with the game and have a great time with it - so everyone is still hopeful that EA and DICE will continue to support it with new content, despite the loss of microtransactions.
